Indications |
Intraocular Adjunct in ophthalmic surgery Adult: Administered intraocularly as a 2% soln. Ophthalmic Protection of the cornea during gonioscopy procedures Adult: Apply up to 2.5% soln. Ophthalmic Dry eye Adult: As 0.3-1% soln: Instil 1-2 drops in affected eye(s) as needed. |
Warnings / Precautions |
Seek medical attention if eye irritation not present before therapy occurs. |
Adverse Reactions |
Eye discomfort/irritation/redness, tearing, eye sensitivity to light, sticky eyelashes, or temporary blurred vision. |
Mechanism of Actions |
Hypromellose stabilises and thickens the precorneal tear film and prolongs the tear film breakup time thereby promoting corneal wetting. It also lubricates and protects the eye. |
